WHAT IS THE ODDEST CASE OF PAREIDOLIA ON RECORD?

Image
A famous pareidolia case occurred in the Minnesota State District Court in 1978. Mrs. Sondra Blanchet was being tried for firing a shotgun at her husband Douglas. He survived but the incident had a permanent effect on him in the form of a nervous tic (he threw himself face downward upon the ground every time he heard his name) for which he demanded a considerable sum from his ex-wife. The jury got the giggling when they heard the defense's plea: pareidolia. According to her lawyer, Mrs. Blanchet had mistaken her husband for a giant squid! What a ridiculous claim, the jury thought, already considering the trial over and seen for sentencing. However, when the husband made his appearance, everyone was amazed by the extraordinary similarity and there were even those who ran in search of a harpoon. Mrs. Blanchet was exonerated, and nowadays everyone wonders how such a strange case could occur.

"THE MONSTER OF CENTRAL PARK LAKE"

Image
In May of 1936, a couple was having a picnic by the lake in Central Park. They ate sandwiches while chatting and pampering. Everything was fine until only one sandwich remained. The two rushed over it, but their heads clashed. Then a tense discussion ensued about who had the right to eat that last sandwich. The woman, who was a lawyer for Baumann & Persky, brought up a paragraph of the Constitution that, according to a lax interpretation, empowered her to eat that last morsel. On the other hand, the man, who was a devout Jew, alleged a dark chapter of the Mishnah concerning the right of primogeniture. But their arguments do not matter to us. The relevant thing is what happened with the sandwich while both were discussing. According to the testimony that the couple later gave to the police, a sea monster emerged from the lake and, stretching its long neck, snatched and ate the sandwich, then it submerged again underwater. It was not the first case of these characteristics that reac...

"THE LOCH NESS ENIGMA"

Image
Another of the famous expeditions of the Society for Psychical Research was the one organized to unravel the mystery of the Loch Ness “Monster”. I place the word monster between quotation marks because Conan Doyle was exasperated when he heard that they called it that way. He said that it was an inconsiderateness and a great lack of respect towards a creature that they didn't even know if it exists. “And how the hell do you want us to call him?!” Gurney blurted out. “The Enigma!”, he answered. The same thing happened with the “Abominable” Snowman. He thought it was a lack of respect towards a stranger to call it "abominable". He also wanted them to call it "The Enigma". Doyle was a hypersensitive man. Even the word "ghost" was offensive to him: for him a ghost was also "The Enigma". The truth is that it was quite difficult to have a conversation with him, because he was always talking about the enigma and you never knew for sure what he was t...

What is the relationship between the chupacabra and the bigfoot?

Image
It is not good. It is a rather tense relationship. The culprit is the chupacabra, who wanted to suck Bigfoot when he was distracted playing cards with the cryptozoologist Mr. Noah Spengler. This had greater consequences since Mr. Spengler took the opportunity to remove an ace from his sleeve, which was noticed by the chupacabra, who warned Bigfoot, what motivated the famous episode related by the cryptozoologist in his memoirs, in which the Bigfoot swallowed Mr. Spengler to vomit it later. All of which has been corroborated by the prestigious Greater Boston Bigfoot Research Institute. A small donation for needy children in exchange for this story? Click on this link to UNICEF. Are the men in black real?

Image
I described in detail my encounter with the bigfoot to a couple of widowed gentlemen (I suppose they were widowed because they wore black) who kindly came to my house after reading in QUORA about the event in question. They were surprised to learn that my encounter with the bigfoot was just one of the many problems related to strange creatures that I have to face every day. I explained that almost every night I am visited by succubi who eat the carpet. And more from time to time, by aliens who suck me from their flying saucer by means of a straw of light. They were very interested in this last point and wanted to know if the aliens had implanted a chip in my brain or performed anatomical experiments with me. When I explained the horrible truth (that what they did was to submit me to a stilysh haircut), they said goodbye very kindly and left hastily muttering something about "lost time" and "nutty". I chased them a long way because I had not finished my explanation ...

What proof is there that Bigfoot exists?

Image
I am going to tell you something that happened to me two years ago and that I have not told anyone because of shame. One night I was in the Appalachian Mountains (do not ask me how I got there, I just know that I went to sleep in my bed in Barcelona and when I woke up I was on top of a mountain that I later learned were the Appalachians). I had not eaten for several days, so I decided to hunt some wild animal. To do this, with a few branches of spruce and resin I made an automatic rifle. I stood next to a path where I had seen some promising tracks (two footsteps of ape of one meter each). I remained silent for several hours, looking at the path through the telescopic peephole of my improvised rifle. Suddenly I heard a scream ... no, it was more like a shriek ... not a shout, half scream half shriek like those that throw in the opera. The rifle began to tremble in my hand. I thought it would be one of my regular night visitors: the succubi, which had followed me from Barcelona. I adopt...
